Description:
Business Start-up for Personal Historians is designed for those Personal Historians who are starting up their business or who know they are not getting enough clients because they have not mastered business skills needed for success.
Weekly Teleclass: The group will meet once a week via teleclass. Recordings will be made of each class in case you need to miss one. Each class will teach a fundamental business skill needed to start and run your business successfully. Each weekly module comes with reading material, plus practical exercises and business activities you can do to improve your business in real life. Work at your own pace.
Saturday Workshop with Jennifer Campbell: The course includes one 90 minute workshop with Jennifer Campbell. She will talk specifically about the practical start-up information in her book – “Start and Run a Personal History Business.” In addition, participants will have 30 minutes to “pick Jennifer’s brain” with open Q&A. J
Required Texts: There are two required texts for the course:
- The Five Essential Skills You Need To Find Clients – by Dhyan Atkinson (which is included in the cost of the class)
- Start and Run a Personal History Business – by Jennifer Campbell (You can purchase this book through Amazon.com)
Group Bulletin Board – Blog:
We will have a group bulletin board where people can post questions to others in the group, talk about current challenges, or pass helpful information to one another between group meetings. This keeps the contact very fresh! Get quick responses and brainstorming on your behalf right when you need it.
